Celebrating Scotland’s Winter Festivals
Stripe was appointed in September 2010 to develop a creative PR campaign to generate buzz and get people talking about Scotland’s Winter Festivals. The aim - to promote Scotland’s three landmark events: St Andrew’s Day, Hogmanay and Burns Night, to create a positive perception of Scotland and encourage people from all over the world to come together and celebrate their country’s contemporary and traditional culture.
Stripe kicked off the campaign with a striking launch involving an aerial trapeze artist, Culture Minister Fiona Hyslop and a lot of sparkly confetti! We then got to know event organisers from up and down the country, from Orkney and the Shetland Islands to the Scottish Borders to maximise opportunities and promote the unique and exciting events happening across the country.
With high profile chefs including Michelin-star chef Andrew Fairlie and musical artists such as the Red Hot Chilli Pipers on board, we delivered a campaign that captured media interest and got Scots excited about celebrating their heritage and culture.
Stripe came on board with us for a project in 2010, and I was really impressed with their understanding of the brief, their creativity and dedication to the project. The team show a real passion for delivering the best possible results and I found them to be a thoroughly nice group of people to work with.
