Fundraisers complete the ‘Walk of their Life’
Stripe Communications this weekend, worked with The Scottish Community Foundation, to drive awareness of the achievements and fundraising efforts of participants in the Tennents Caledonian Challenge 2010.
Over 1,000 participants, supporters and volunteers took on the huge physical endeavour of completing 54 miles from Gairlochy through the Great Glen and West Highland Way to Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park in just 24 hours, whilst raising funds for some of Scotland’s most isolated communities.
This is the fourteenth Caledonian Challenge and since its inception in 1997, tens of thousands of people have raised more than £10million for local projects throughout Scotland. All the funds that Participants raise will go to the Scottish Communities Foundation to distribute as grants to help enhance the lives of thousands of people in Scotland through much-needed local community based services and projects.
Following the weekend, Stripe are now working with the Scottish Community Foundation to generate entries to The Caledonian 100 - an exciting new team event taking place in the Cairngorms National Park during 2-3 October 2010 (www.caledonian100.com).
